Senior Management Changes

Tokyo (August 29, 2008) - Bridgestone Corporation announced today that its board of directors has approved the following proposals of the changes in members of the board of directors and corporate officers today.

1.	Changing Position and Responsibilities of Members of the Board of Directors (Effective October 1, 2008)

	- Osamu INOUE New position and responsibilities:
		Senior Vice President Responsible for Global Logistics Center and Motorsport; Concurrently responsible for Products Development
	Current position and responsibilities:

	- Kazuhisa NISHIGAI New position and responsibilities:
